The Plot: <\/strong>The story of a character named Mabel is a refreshing spin on the "save the forest" trope. Instead of just protesting, she literally "hops" her consciousness into a hyper-realistic robotic beaver through the help of her nutty Science teacher and assistant. It’s that clever "Hopper" technology that allows her to communicate with the animal kingdom to stop Mayor Jerry’s highway project.<\/p>\n\n

The kids film manages to be an "eco-warrior" story without feeling too preachy. It teaches kids about habitat preservation and empathy through the eyes of the animals themselves.<\/p>\n\n

The Humour: <\/strong>The "Pond Rules" (like "When you gotta eat, eat") and the character of King George (the beaver monarch) provide the kind of laughs that clearly earned 10\/10 from one of our children.<\/p>\n\n

The Action: <\/strong>The third act gets surprisingly wild. Between the "squishing" plots from the animals and the high-stakes chase to stop the bulldozers, it keeps the energy high for the full 104 minutes.<\/p>\n\n

A Note for Parents:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

While it’s a blast, some other reviews have noted that the villain, Titus (the robotic assassin shark\/body-swapper), can be a little "Terminator-esque" and spooky for the very little ones. This might be why one of our other children gave it an 8\/10 it has some "black comedy" and slightly darker sci-fi moments that feel a bit more mature than your average talking-animal flick.<\/p>\n\n

The perfect film to take friends to the cinema. We went to see Wuthering Heights last night and it honestly ticked every box.
\nThere were laughs, tears, moments of full-body cringing, and just enough spice to keep us all leaning forward in our seats. It’s one of those films where you’re constantly reacting — gasping, whispering “oh no…”, then laughing at yourselves moments later.
\nThe acting was incredibly strong — especially from Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi, who were both intense, emotional, and completely absorbing. You really feel drawn into the relationships and drama.
\nWe hadn’t read the book beforehand, so we didn’t know what to expect, which made the experience even better. Now we all want to read it. If the novel is anything like the film, we’re ready to be emotionally ruined all over again.

We headed to the Xscape Cineworld this past Sunday to catch this vibrant animation, and it’s safe to say it left us all feeling good.<\/p>\n\n

The Plot: Underdogs (or Under-goats) Rule<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

The story follows Will, a small goat with a massive dream: making it into the professional leagues of Roarball. In a sport typically dominated by the fastest and fiercest predators on the planet, Will is naturally seen as being out of his depth.<\/p>\n\n

The film doesn't shy away from the challenges of being the "little guy." Will faces constant shaming and doubt from his teammates, but his journey isn't just about fitting in—it’s about revolutionizing the game.<\/p>\n\n

It’s a classic underdog story with a modern, high-energy twist that teaches kids that "small" can be a superpower. Goats teammates also lack confidence at first until they all become a team.<\/p>\n\n

The Experience: 4DX Intensity<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Watching this in 4DX was a game-changer, especially for the kids. If you haven't tried it, be prepared to be part of the action:<\/p>\n\n
