X Factor stars to join Northants Sings Out at ChoirFest this Valentine’s Day

Chart-topping vocal group G4, of X Factor fame, will headline ChoirFest 2026 alongside Britain’s Got Talent finalists Northants Sings Out and more than 200 local singers, when the spectacular musical showcase takes over Royal & Derngate Theatre on Saturday 14 February 2026.

Returning bigger and bolder, Collide: A ChoirFest Experience promises a powerful fusion of classical crossover, contemporary club anthems and multi-genre choral performance, making it one of the area’s standout cultural events of the year.

The line-up also includes the Northampton Male Voice Choir and local school choirs from Hunsbury Park Primary School, Warwick Academy and St Luke’s CE Primary School, creating an energetic multi-generational celebration of group singing. From uplifting reggae harmonies to timeless classical pieces and high-energy dance anthems, the evening showcases the joy and diversity of choral music in all its forms.

G4 rose to fame on the first series of ITV’s The X Factor in 2004, pioneering popular opera with a modern twist. Their distinctive harmonies and arrangements of iconic songs such as My Way, Circle of Life and Bohemian Rhapsody quickly captured the nation’s imagination.

We are delighted to be part of this year’s ChoirFest at the Derngate. We’ve performed with Northants Sings Out many times and love their infectious energy and spine-tingling sound. Bringing together over 200 voices on stage is going to be a night to remember.G4, currently touring their ‘Phantoms of the Popera’ show across the UK in 2026, followed by their annual Christmas tour

Also taking centre stage, Northants Sings Out return to Royal & Derngate following a sell-out show and UK tour in 2025. Their high-impact, genre-blending performances and viral Britain’s Got Talent success have earned them a devoted national following.

The production features a specially expanded ensemble of local voices, accompanied by a live band and string section, under the musical direction of Gareth Fuller. One of the UK’s most dynamic choral directors, Fuller is known for leading large-scale performances, including Liam Gallagher’s sold-out Knebworth shows.

More than a concert, ChoirFest is staged as a full theatrical experience, combining cinematic arrangements, mass harmonies and live instrumentation to celebrate creativity, diversity and community pride across West Northamptonshire.

ChoirFest is a brilliant celebration of creativity, talent and community spirit. Events like this bring people together, strengthen our cultural offer and reinforce West Northamptonshire as a fantastic destination for live performance.Cllr James Petter, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Local Economy, Culture and Leisure at WNC

In the lead-up to the main event, audiences can enjoy a programme of free pop-up performances and taster sessions at prominent locations across the area, including Sixfields Stadium, giving residents the chance to experience the joy of group singing first-hand. Tickets are now on sale via the Derngate website.
