Family pays emotional tribute after man dies following A6003 collision

The family of a man who died in a collision on the A6003 have released a photo and paid an emotional tribute to their loved one.

Steven Coulson, aged 40, sadly died after the Vauxhall Vivaro he was driving was involved in a three-vehicle collision on the A6003 Uppingham Road in Corby.

The incident occurred when Mr Coulson’s Vauxhall Vivaro travelling towards Corby was in collision with a Mitsubishi Shogun and the Vauxhall Adam travelling in the opposite direction.

Mr Coulson sustained serious injuries in the collision and was taken to University Hospital Coventry, however, sadly died the following morning on Sunday, March 20.

His sister Samantha has now released the following tribute on behalf of the family via Northamptonshire Police:

“Steven was affectionately known as Bim. He was a beloved son, daddy, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and best friend to many. He lit up any room he was in and could make you smile just by looking at him.

“The void he has left on all our lives and everyone who knew him will never be filled and the world seems a much quieter and duller place without him. Sleep well sweetheart until we meet again. Forever in our hearts.”

Sadly, 24-year-old Karen Coke – the driver of the Vauxhall Adam – died at the scene. Her male passenger remains in hospital where he continues to recover from his serious injuries.

Investigations into the collision, which took place at about 2.10pm on Saturday, March 19, continue and detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit would like to hear from anyone who has yet to get in touch.
