Neighbourhood policing teams hold knife amnesty events to support national campaign

As part of this week's #OpSceptre week of action, members of our Neighbourhood Policing Teams are holding a number of knife amnesty events across the county.

Knife-crime is a matter of priority for the Force, and we’re committed to removing as many of these dangerous items from our streets and amnesty events are just one way in which we can do this.

Knives can be safely and anonymously disposed of without fear of prosecution or repercussions. Please help us stop knives, or any other sharp items, getting into the wrong hands by dropping off your unwanted items.

Amnesty events are taking place at:

Thursday, May 19:

• Kingsway shops in Berrymoor Road, Wellingborough, between 2pm-3pm
• Irchester Village Hall in School Road, Irchester, between 3.30pm-4.30pm
• Knife Angel, Corporation Street in Corby, between 3.30pm-4.30pm
• The Square in Earls Barton, between 5pm-6pm
• Grange shops in Grange Place, Kettering, between 6pm-8pm
• Morrisons in Oxford Street, Wellingborough, between 8pm-9pm

Friday, May 20:

• Brambleside shops in Brambleside, Kettering, between 6pm-8pm

Saturday, May 21:

• Grange shops in Grange Place, Kettering, between 6pm-8pm
• Park Square in Northampton, between 11am-2pm

Sunday, May 22:

• Limehurst Square in Northampton, between 11am-2pm
• Morrisons in Victoria Promenade in Northampton, between 1.30pm-4pm
