Police are appealing for witnesses, mobile phone footage and information following a serious assault in Milton Keynes in the early hours of this morning (1/11).
Thames Valley Police confirmed that officers were called by South Central Ambulance Service shortly after 1.50am following reports that a man in his twenties had been assaulted in Midsummer Boulevard in the city centre. The victim sustained serious injuries and remains in hospital in a critical condition.
Detective Inspector Luke Pratt said, “We understand that news of this incident will be concerning for local residents, businesses and those who were in Milton Keynes city centre overnight.
“Our thoughts are with the victim and his loved ones at this extremely difficult time.
“We are conducting a number of fast-time enquiries to establish exactly what happened and identify those responsible.
“You will continue to see an increased police presence in and around The Hub while our investigation progresses. Neighbourhood officers are in the area to provide reassurance and I would encourage anyone with concerns to speak with them.
“I would urge anyone who was in the area around Midsummer Boulevard and The Hub between 1am and 2am this morning to come forward if they witnessed anything suspicious.
“If you were driving in the area and have dash-cam footage, or if you have any mobile phone or CCTV footage that may assist our investigation, please get in touch.
“Even the smallest piece of information could prove vital in helping us understand what happened and identify those involved.”
