Police officers are appealing for witnesses after a fatal road traffic collision on the A45 in Northampton.
The incident happened on Saturday, April 2, at about 10.15am, when a silver Mercedes C180 travelling on the A45 west slip road towards the Riverside roundabout, mounted the offside verge and collided with a traffic light pole and some barriers.
Sadly, the driver – an 87-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have CCTV or dash cam footage of the collision.
