A 21-year-old man has been charged and remanded by the University of Northampton Policing Team and the Northampton Neighbourhood Team, following an incident near the halls of residence.
Cain Downton, of Lion Court, Northampton, has been charged with robbery and possession of an offensive weapon in connection with an incident in New South Bridge Road at 5.10pm on April 3, 2022, in which a University of Northampton student was robbed of his Canada Goose jacket at knifepoint.
Downton was remanded in custody and will next appear before Northampton Crown Court on June 10, 2022.
