Serious injury road traffic collision on the A14 near Welford

Witnesses are being sought following a serious collision on the A14 eastbound near Welford, Northamptonshire, on Monday, 10 October.

The accident happened at about 3.45pm on the eastbound carriageway, between the M1/M6 interchange and Junction 1, when a Ford Transit van collided with a Volkswagen Polo.

The driver of the Polo, a man in his 40s, was taken to University Hospital Coventry with serious injuries.
