Police officers are appealing for witnesses following an incident in the Sixfields area of Northampton.
The incident happened somewhere between McDonalds and the cinema at about 6.15pm yesterday (April 4) when there was an altercation involving a group of people resulting in a 25-year-old man suffering a stab wounds.
The man was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
Police would like to speak to anyone that was in that area of Sixfields around the time of the offence as we believe they may have information that would assist the investigation.

Extra police patrols will be taking place in the area today to reassure the local community.
