Serious road traffic collision in Tollgate Way, Northampton

Witnesses are being sought after a motorcyclist was seriously injured in a collision in Tollgate Way, Northampton.

At about 6.40am today, for reasons not yet known, a black motorcycle travelling northbound along Tollgate Way, left the carriageway and collided with a lamp post. The rider – a man in his 30s – was taken to University Hospital Coventry with serious injuries.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have captured the collision on dash-cam footage.
