Northamptonshire Buddhists

Northamptonshire Buddhists

By Chris Gregg • Monday, October 24th, 2022
An independent, non-sectarian Buddhist group with leanings towards Tibetan Buddhist traditions, we gladly welcome non-Buddhists and Buddhists of all traditions.

With roots going back 30 years, Northants Buddhists is the oldest established Buddhist and meditation group in Northamptonshire and the surrounding area. They've welcomed thousands of people to their meetings and visiting teacher events.

Everyone one is welcome whether you wish to learn about meditation, develop your meditation practice or if you just have an interest in Buddhism.

Weekly meetings are held on Mondays from 7.00 to 9.00pm (except public holidays) at the Friends’ Meeting House, Northall Street, Kettering NN16 8DS

The usual Monday evening programme consists of silent or guided meditation, ideal for beginners, followed by a reading and discussion on a meditation or Buddhist theme appealing to non-Buddhists too. They then have a tea break, followed by a session devoted to generating love and compassion for all sentient beings; and at the end they remember those in special need.

Live Music 4 Life

Live Music 4 Life

By Chris Gregg • Tuesday, September 6th, 2022
Live Music 4 Life is a supportive Facebook community group page set up to support, encourage and help people struggling with mental health issues.

The group aims to help with dark days anyone may have with mental health or just in general. It’s OK to talk and sometimes seeing posts from others on how they deal with matters can go some way to help.

Raising awareness and trying to break the stigma of mental health, enabling people to feel comfortable talking about their issues.

Remember, it's OK to reach out for help, it's a bad time, not a bad life. Tomorrow is a new day and an opportunity to be the best 'you' possible.

The group is private, so no trolls and sharing content, only non-judgmental people who support, encourage and help each other.

Join the group via the link below - you could be the person to guide someone out of their darkness....
