The death of a much-loved husband prompts a group of ordinary women in a small Yorkshire Women’s Institute to raise money for charity by doing an extraordinary thing – creating a ‘nude’ calendar.
This musical, based on the true story and the hit film Calendar Girls, is coming to Royal & Derngate in November.
Having performed over 30 shows on the Derngate stage, including most recently Shrek The Musical and Made In Dagenham, Northampton Musical Theatre Company return once again to perform this heartwarming and funny story.
With first-class songs by Take That superstar Gary Barlow and a moving script by Barlow and best friend Tim Firth, It is a show with a warm heart that both makes you laugh and cry.
The Northampton Musical Theatre Company featuring an amazing cast that included Hannah Taylor, Brett Hanson, Hannah Hauser, Lisa Simpson, Zoe Mould and many more took to the stage on Opening Night to an attentive and warm audience.
There are many memorable songs within this production that include Dare, Yorkshire and Kilimanjaro to name a few, all delivered with outstanding vocals and acting throughout the entire production.
This truly is a show not to be missed.
