The first-ever UK & Ireland Tour of Disney’s hit Broadway and West End Musical, Aladdin, is at Miton Keynes Theatre for the first time.

The show stars Yeukayi Ushe (from Disney’s The Lion King, A Strange Loop, Kinky Boots and Motown The Musical) as the iconic Genie and introduces Gavin Adams as Aladdin. A recent graduate of the Royal Academy of Music, this is Gavin's professional debut. He's joined by Desmonda Cathabel (Miss Saigon, From Here to Eternity) as Princess Jasmine and both have stunning singing voices with perfect harmonies.
The remaining cast are also fantastic, including Adam Strong (Rock of Ages, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat) as Jafar, Jo Servi (Dreamgirls, The Color Purple) as Sultan, Angelo Paragoso (The Reporter, Miss Saigon) as Iago, Nay-Nay(Once On This Island) as Kassim, Adam Taylor (Cabaret, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie) as Omar, and Nelson Bettencourt (Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Les Misérables) as Babkak.
This is very much the Disney version of the Aladdin story from the original 1992 animated film although the story has it's DNA in centuries-old folktales including “One Thousand and One Nights”.
The theatre show brings the story to a live audience in a stunning way with breathtaking effects, sets and choreography and it's easy to see why it's taken the West End and Broadway by storm, and since opening in March 2014, nine productions have launched around the world.
The show includes all your favourite songs from the animated version plus new music by Oscar winners Tim Rice, Alan Menken and Howard Ashman with highlights Friend Like Me, performed by the Genie in the cave and the confetti finale. The special effects are stunning including an incredible magical flying carpet scene with Aladdin and Jasmine floating above the stage.
