There's a lot of excitement about this show which is from one of the producers of the hugely succesful musical SIX. In the same vein, it brings history to life and as the title suggests, is all about celebrating great female role models.
The show is based on the popular book by Suffragette relative Kate Pankhurst amd features a cast who play multiple characters and a live band (all female, of course!) with a soundtrack of empowering, empowering pop songs.
The story follows Jade as she breaks away from her school trip to the local museum to check out the "Gallery of Greatness" and meets iconic women from the past, whose actions and lives changed the world as we know it, including explorers, scientists, artists and secret agents.
The women featured range from the most well known names to some whose stories are less well known including Rosa Parks, Amelia Earhart, Marie Curie, Mary Seacole, Frida Kahlo, Jane Austen and Emmeline Pankhurst.
The cast are all "fantastically great" and include Elena Breschi, Jennifer Caldwell, Georgia Grant-Anderson, Chlöe Hart, Leah Vassell, Millie Kiss, Summer Priest and Rachel Seirian.
Although at times it's difficult to make out all the lyrics of the songs (which is where a lot of the story telling is done), the dancing, staging and energy are fantastic.
This is a great show which should be compulsory viewing for every school class with a great, positive message that' never feels 'preachy' but should inspire everyone to reach for their dreams.
